What You’ll Do
As a Senior Staff Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of physics, modeling, and business value. Whether you’re solving fluid dynamics problems or delivering clear, strategic insights to clients, your technical leadership will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and business growth.
Pre-Sales Support
Work with Account Managers to assess customer needs
Deliver software demos and technical presentations
Provide input on solution recommendations during the sales cycle
Analyze customer workflows, business needs, and infrastructure to recommend well-suited solutions.
Partner with the Account Manager to develop strategies that support growth and long-term engagement
Technical Support
Provide support to end-users of Ansys Fluent and CFX via phone, email, or in person
Troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution
Collaborate with support managers to uphold service excellence
Consulting
Scope, quote, and perform projects based on customer requirements including meshing, assigning boundary conditions, solving, and post-processing
Deliver technical reports and other documentation as requested
Technical Training
Deliver Ansys training online, on-site, and at SimuTech offices
Tailor sessions to user skill level and application focus
Support customer enablement through ongoing learning opportunities

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred)
5-8 years of professional engineering experience
Expertise in ANSYS Fluent, CFX, or other CFD tools
Excellent customer-facing presentation and communication skills
Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and numerical methods
Preferred Experience
Demonstrated understanding of how CFD tools are used in various industries as well as the ability to understand, represent and effectively communicate technical activities within customer accounts
Experience in specialized domains such as multiphase flow, turbomachinery, or combustion
Prior technical software pre-sales or consulting experience
Technical publications or documentation demonstrating subject matter depth
Eligible for (or willing to pursue) Canadian Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) licensure

Pay range: $92,000 – $121,000 Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location)
