Job Description
SEO/CRO Project Manager
Orbit Media Studios is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Optimization (SEO/CRO) team. This work focuses on growing established brands after their websites have already launched.
In short, we set a 3-10 year high-level vision. Each month, we strategize more deeply through audits, exercises, experiments, and content plans. Then we act, distributing work between (1) our Optimization team, (2) other Orbit teams, and (3) the client’s in-house team.
As Project Manager, you’ll collaborate most closely with a Senior Digital Strategist who sets and interprets a vision. Project Managers coordinate creative (writer/editor) and technical (analyst/developer) team members, who make these visions a reality. As this process unfolds, the Project Manager is responsible for provisioning tasks, deadlines, hourly budgets, scope creep, and communication.
The job:
Act as the first point of client contact
Keep internal and external teams informed and excited about the work
Work in partnership with a Senior Digital Strategist to keep measurable results flowing
Coordinate tasks, deadlines, hourly budgets, and scope for an average of six brands
Address minor website changes in an administration panel directly
Interpret incoming website requests, adapt these requests to fit our vision
Nurture friendly relationships across various marketing and IT departments
Leverage and improve our centralized process model that spans all things
The skills:
5+ years of project management in the digital marketing industry
Strong account-facing relationship management skills
Mastery of keeping multiple teams on task and on budget
Communicate complex ideas simply and kindly
Passion for watching great collaboration turn to measured successes
Organized, great at deadlines and leading others to be the same
Write at a professional level that stays in alignment with the AP Style Guide
Mastery of tools like Google Workspace, Teamwork and Slack
Brownie points:
Experience in a digital agency environment (SEO/CRO, especially)
Any basic web development skills (HTML/CSS, especially)
Familiarity with WordPress, Drupal, or other platforms
Any other working understanding of web technologies
Compensation package:
Salary ranging $70K - $85K per year based on qualifications
Additional cash bonuses based on performance and profitability
Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability coverage - 100% covered by Orbit
Major medical and dental - 70+% of employee coverage paid by Orbit
Vision, Short-Term Disability, ID Theft Protection - Employee paid benefits
Simple IRA Plan - Orbit matches the employee contribution up to 3% of their annual salary
Paid time off - 15 days (accrued) compensation per calendar year
Paid holidays - 12+ standard holidays, including one full week for end-of-year holidays
Volunteer paid time off - Paid day off to volunteer for a charitable organization
